The Poverty Action Research Project Team came to Eabametoong on April 10 & 11 , 2012
A brief presentation on the history of Agreements were made and how it affects the First Nations today. Dating back to the 1800's .
Vern Cheecho and Michael Lane held the workshop on how to make the community a better place to live for the future . Among the discussions were topics of concerns and issues that are plaguing the community . There was also discussions of values and the strengths of the community.
It was also mentioned that it is not only right to mention all whats happening to the community , but also a dicussion will be brought forward on implentation . How will the issues and concerns be addressed .
There next visit will be in May 2012
A tentative day will be coming forth and it will be broadcasted over the local radio station and also posted on the website.
